Details: This beautiful ceramic vanity tray is a rare find, we were lucky to find this one. It has beautiful flower decals and gold accents all around. The tray is rectangular with some nice waves, very feminine. The bottom is stamped: "An Irice Product". This piece retains part of it's blue foil label which helps us identify it as Made in Japan, and therefore, helps us date it. There are some condition issues, please see "Condition" below for details.

Dimensions: 10.75 inches Long and approx. 7.5 inches Wide.
Condition: Vintage - Used. Average Condition. The gold rim is mostly worn off. There are minor scratches all over, mostly due to wear from bottles and other items being placed on it. There are two chips on the border. Photographed for you, please keep in mind, the pictures are magnified so you can see the details, chips are not very large, priced accordingly. I. W. Rice & Co (aka Irving W. Rice & Co), did not make this piece, they are a distributor who purchases inventory from all over the world and resells it under their brand. There is conflicting information as to when they started, one source says 1905 and another 1920's but regardless of when they started, they are still around today, located in New York City. They are best known for the beautiful perfume bottles and atomizers, some made of fine Czechoslovakian crystal, they imported in the 1930's. Later they started selling American made pieces, then from West Germany, Japan and today most of their imports are from Taiwan.
