- Details: This Jaliang designed vase brings the beauty of Asian Modern style into your home. Crafted by Thailand artists in the 1980's, it has a very simple, yet interestingly graphic design, the yellow green color, (sage/celadon/pistachio color is hard to describe, very calming), adds a tranquil feel to any décor. Enjoy this timeless piece for years to come. This vase reminds us of some wonderful Mid Century Modern designs of the past, even though it is clearly Asian Modern. It has a unique, almost flat shape, very thin body and very wide bottom then narrows towards the top. Its beauty is in its simplicity. It is stamped on the bottom: "designed by Jaliang". We know that Jaliang Pottery is part of the Thai Pottery Industry and it is high quality, award winning pottery, see below for more on these long time potters. This is a beautiful piece of decor, worthy of gift giving.

Jaliang Ceramics is part of the Thai Pottery Industry. It is run by a married couple, Praneet and Pongsak C. Watananun. Original pottery designs are created here by the locals and produced in very high quality. They won the 1999 Prime Ministers’ Award as the outstanding exporter in the category of Original Design. They manufacture a great variety of items including: Stoneware, Tableware, Vases, Coffee Mugs, Kettles, etc. Jaliang first established itself as an intimate ceramics studio in the 1980's. Since inception they have remained committed to the development of contemporary product designs bearing unquestionable quality, their core aim being to firmly focus on meeting constant changes in global lifestyles by creating items made by a combination of the Thais’ artistic skills and modern technology. We believe the original Jaliang Ceramics company is out of business. There is a company called JaliangPlus in business today, perhaps a merger or extension of the original owned by the Watananun family.
