- Details: Beautiful, large, silverplated tray with an etched floral pattern called Spring Flower (#172). This tray has a wonderfully intricate, reticulated (pierced), border and a rope design along the rim. It is marked: Wm Rogers with Eagle and Star mark and #172. This is a gorgeous tray with a wonderful old patina, if you like the look of old silver, as we do, no need to clean, however, if you like shiny silver, it will clean up nicely. Can also be used as a punch bowl under-plate, or as decor on a table, or wall. Lots of uses for these trays as seen in many home design magazines.

- Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition. As with all used silver and silverplate, there are minor surface scratches visible, acceptable due to age/use/wear. William Rogers & Co. was in business from 1841 - 1855. It then merged and became Rogers Bro. Mfg Co. Mark: (eagle) Wm. Rogers & Co. (Star) - as shown on this tray. This mark was taken over in 1878 to 1893 by Simpson, Hall, Miller & Co. Which was then taken over by the International Silver Company in 1898. This (eagle)/Wm. Rogers /(star) mark was only used on silverplated holloware by the International Silver Company from 1938 and discontinued in 1976.
