Details: These sugar spoons, shaped like little shovels, are so cute! This shape is designed to serve sugar, however, they are very close in design to the mid 18th Century salt spoons, or shovels. The main difference is the salt shovels have the flat oblong bowls with sides along the edges. We've also seen them called individual ice cream spoons, so it seems whatever you'd like to call them, and use them for, it's ok! These are vintage, marked SAF INOX 18/C, (European grade of silverplate), made In Italy.
