Details: Absolutely beautiful hand carved sculpture of a Native African Malawi Woman Holding Baby. Carved wood, possibly Mahogany, Ebony or could be Rosewood. The woman has an intricate braided hair style with cornrows, excellent detail on the face, lots of carving all over the piece. Excellent example of traditional African Indigenous Art. Artist is Unknown, not signed. This is a heavy piece, carved from a single piece of solid hardwood, almost 2 lbs. before packaging, please keep that in mind at check-out. Special addition to enhance any home. Perfect gift for an indigenous art collector, Kwanzaa gift or for an African styled home.
