• Details:  Very hard to find antique, original bookplate, chromolithograph illustration, of a sailor boy.  This is a full color bookplate titled "Little Jack Tar".  We believe this is from Oliver Optic's Annual 1895 book, published by Estes and Lauriat, Boston.  This is an extremely hard to find book plate / print, it would be a treasure to frame and hang in a boys room, or a coastal home.  There are minor condition issues, mostly on the borders, no fading, colors remain vibrant.  Please see below for details.  
• Material:  Heavy Paper
• Dimensions:  Approx 10.0 inches x 7.25 inches (Portrait Orientation)
• Condition:  Antique - Used.  Very Good Antique Condition.  There are several tears along the bottom border and one large tear on the left side.  A few brown stains on the margins, possible glue residue as this looks like it was glued onto something.   All issues are acceptable due to age/use/wear.  Still perfect for framing which will hide most issues.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, (pictures are also part of our description), we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.   

A Bookplate is a full page illustration, picture, or photograph that is printed separately from the text of the book, but are bound in during production. Platings add color, texture, and value to books, and they are often gorgeous and riveting. For certain titles, plates are only included in first editions or deluxe editions, and they can often spread over entire sheets of paper.
