Salem Grand Turk (1786) was an American 300-ton ship used during the American Revolutionary War, built in 1780 for Elias Hasket Derby and owned by the Derby mercantile house, and was the first U.S. ship on the China Trade. Old Spice is a registered trademark of Procter & Gamble, a very recognizable American brand of male grooming products.  It was originally manufactured by the Schulton Company which was founded in 1934 by William Lightfoot Schultz and called Early American Old Spice of 1937, which was actually for women, followed with Old Spice for men in 1938.  In June 1990, Procter & Gamble purchased the Old Spice brands from the Schulton Company.  The most recognizable  Old Spice branding is the buoy-shaped bottle.  Old Spice has a relationship with NASCAR and has sponsored many cars throughout the NASCAR world from 2004 to 2010. Interesting fact, the pewter lid is embossed by ALWE with "W. Germany" (West Germany), which is where they were located, one year after, in 1990, West and East Germany were united.
