- Pattern: Antique Medicine Bottle / Apothecary / Pharmaceutical Bottle, Lydia E. Pinkham Medicine 14 1/2 ozs.
- Made in USA
- Antique: 1900 - 1920 (estimated)
- Details: This bottle contained Lydia E. Pinkham's Medicine which was nothing but a concoction of bitter tasting roots, herbs and lots of alcohol, that Ms. Pinkham sold for women's menstrual and menopausal problems. This is a clear bottle, looks to be molded (has 2 seams), cork closure, and embossed lettering. It has a pontil mark with a number 6. However, we are not experts, so please do your own research if the bottle date is important to you. Lydia mass marketed her potion starting in 1876, called, Lydia E. Pinkham's Vegetable Compound and it's actually still being sold today, although the recipe has been altered greatly. Would make a nice gift for a bottle collector, a history buff, or for display in a bathroom. A collection of old bottles makes a cool display on a windowsill or used as vases for flowers.
- Dimensions: 8.25 inches Tall, 3.25 inches Wide, 2.0 inches Deep
- Material: Clear Glass
- Condition: Antique - Used. Excellent Antique Condition. There are no chips or scratches on this piece. There are a couple of glass bubbles. We didn't clean this bottle since many like the look of old unwashed glass. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
