- Pattern: Vintage Label, Original The Blue and the Gray Crate Label, Confederate & Union Army Generals Lithograph, Florida Fruit Labels (Discontinued)
- Made in USA
- Vintage circa 1930
- Details: A very large and beautiful crate label. This scene is loosely based on a print from 1865 where Union Army General in Chief Ulysses S. Grant (left), is shaking hands with, and accepting a surrender from, Confederate General in Chief Robert E. Lee (right), on April 9th, 1865. We say "loosely based" because in the original print Grant didn't have gray hair (he was younger than Lee), and had a beard. The uniforms are very similar to what was worn on that historic day. The label is marked: "The Blue and the Gray Brand, Reg U.S. Pat Off., Oranges and Grapefruit, Milne-O'Berry Packing Co., Incorporated St. Petersburg, FLA., Net Contents 1 3/5 BU." This label is becoming a very rare find, and in this condition, even more so. It is genuine, unused old stock label made by Brandau Craig Dickerson Co, in Nashville, TN. These large labels are perfect for framing, they were acquired from a long time label dealer on the west coast, framing is recommended to maintain this condition. Collecting labels has become a very popular hobby, mainly because of the beautiful and unique images/artwork that can be found. If this is your hobby, we have lots more labels available, please feel free to browse.
- Material: Paper
- Dimensions: 8.75 inches Wide by 8.75 inches Tall

Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
