  • Pattern:  Vintage Original Print, Navy T-2C Buckeye, Signed Framed & Matted

  • Vintage: 1981

  • Details:  Exceptional artwork by Joe Milich.  This is a print of a North American T-2C Buckeye training aircraft.  It is a numbered and signed print, #717 of 1000 and created in 1981.  The art itself was originally done in pen and ink and the detail is amazing.  This print is beautifully matted, it has two mats with a beveled inside edge, this allows about 1/16" of the core color  of the mat to be visible and gives a truly professional finish to the piece.  The frame is metal by Nielsen, in a pewter tone  (the glass has damage in one of the corners, price has been adjusted accordingly).  Professionally framed by Framery in Sarasota and ready to hang.  This is a heavy piece, will need a lot of packaging to get to you safely, please keep this in mind at checkout.  It would make a great gift for military personnel, a flight / airplane enthusiast, a veteran, to display in a man-cave or for a history buff.  We have other Milich prints available if interested.

Joe Milich has been drawing and painting his entire life, his passion for airplanes began as a child.  He has drawn aircraft from all the US military branches as well as commercial, civilian and even foreign air forces.   He has amassed a vast Aviation Art collection of pen and ink originals, limited edition prints, and paintings. All of his paintings are free hand, done by direct observation of the subject, either on location or from reference material.  Asides from airplanes he has also drawn cars, boats, trains, and space vehicles, all created in his unique pen and ink style. The North American T-2 Buckeye was the United States Navy's intermediate training aircraft, intended to introduce U.S. Navy and U.S. Marine Corps student naval aviators and student naval flight officers to jets.  It was manufactured starting in 1959 in Columbus, Ohio.  The name "Buckeye" refers to the state tree of Ohio, as well as the mascot of The Ohio State University.  The T-2C  model was the final production version for the U.S. Navy and was used until 2004.
