• Condition: Very good — one glass has a minor manufacturing flaw on the foot, rough to the touch, very subtle, photographed; platinum rims pristine on all four. Please review photos closely before purchasing, as all sales are final.

Each piece is hand-blown with a delicate platinum rim and a beautifully faceted stem; the cut pattern forms swirled leaves that appear to move with the light. Lyndley is often confused with Tiffin's Carillon and Sonata patterns — the swirled leaf cut is the tell here.

A wonderful hostess or housewarming gift for the collector of American art glass, or anyone who sets a beautiful table. These also double as parfait or ice cream sundae glasses for an elegant dessert presentation.

Tiffin began as a division of U.S. Glass Co. in the late 1800s, one of two new factories built to produce blown glassware, stemware, and dinnerware; the Tiffin, Ohio plant was the sole survivor after depression-era closures elsewhere. By 1950 all pieces carried the Tiffin name via paper label, though the parent company retained the U.S. Glass Co. name until reorganizing as Tiffin Art Glass Company in 1963. Continental Can Company purchased Tiffin in 1966, selling it to Interpace Corporation in 1969 — the period that produced the "Tiffin-Franciscan" mark, since Interpace also owned Franciscan. Tiffin was sold to Towle Silversmiths in 1979 and renamed Tiffin Crystal, which shut down on May 1, 1980.
