  • Pattern:  Waterford Hanover - Marquis Collection Bowl (Discontinued)
  • Made in Ireland
  • Vintage:  1992 – 1999
  • Details:  Gorgeous crystal bowl, the pictures don't do it justice.   It is strikingly elegant with clean, simple lines dominating the piece.   The Marquis collection, was the first new line in the company's 200-year history. It is interesting to note that the Marquis line by Waterford is not leaded crystal but a crystalline, (non-leaded glass food safe).  It was designed to appeal to younger, more contemporary buyers.  However, I would use the same care as with any lead crystal piece, no dishwasher, no abrasives. This bowl would enhance most table settings and party set ups, perfect for nuts and dips.   Not only useful at the table, but also beautiful with potpourri, in the guest bathroom with soaps, to corral trinkets on a dressing table, or just by itself as decor.
  • Material:  Crystalline - not leaded crystal
  • Dimensions:  5.5 inches in Diameter (at its widest point). 2.5 inches Tall.
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used, Excellent Condition.  There are no cracks, chips or scratches, looks like the bowl was never used, still in its original box. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
Waterford Crystal is a manufacturer of crystal, named after the city of Waterford, Ireland, although most Waterford Crystal is now produced outside Ireland in countries such as Slovenia, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Germany.  The origins of crystal production in Waterford date back to 1783 when George and William Penrose started their business. It produced extremely fine flint glass that became world-renowned. Their Waterford company closed in 1851, and re-opened 100 years later. The brand is owned by WWRD Group Holdings Ltd., which also owns and operates the Wedgwood and Royal Doulton brands, and was acquired on 2 July 2015 by the Fiskars Corporation.  Interesting side notes:  Waterford Crystal made the 2,688 crystals for the famous New Year's Eve Ball that is dropped each year in New York City's Times Square, they also design the trophies for the People's Choice Awards.
