  • Vintage Silver Plate Gravy Boat / Sauciere / Serving Bowl with Underplate.  Wm A. Rogers, Tableware, Elegant Servingware, Silverplate, (Discontinued)
  • Made in USA by Oneida (Wm A. Rogers)
  • Vintage: circa 1960's - 1970's
  • Details: Beautiful serving dish, these are very useful at the dinner table or buffet.  Sometimes we forget we have these handy little dishes and we look for other bowls around the house, but this style, called a Sauce Bowl or Saucière, (this style is called a saucière which typically have no handle, but can easily be used as a gravy boat) can be used to serve sauces of course, but also salad dressing, dips, berries, olives, nuts, just add a pretty ladle or spoon.  Some even use them as a small/ low profile, flower vase.  This bowl has an attached underplate with a very pretty design around the rim, almost looks like Peace Lilies to us.  Oneida acquired Wm A Rogers silver around 1929, and Oneida employed the Wm. A. Rogers mark as late as 1978 so this bowl could be from before the 1970's.  You'll find this little bowl will make a great addition on a buffet table, for holidays or other special occasions.
