- Vintage Decanter, Jim Beam Whiskey Decanter, Binion's Horseshoe Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada, with Tax Strip / Duty Stamp Label, Barware, Bar Decor, Vintage Collectibles, Casino Souvenir, Travel Memorabilia, Gifts for Men, Father's Day, (Discontinued)
- Vintage: 1970
- Details: A great piece of Las Vegas casino history and a wonderful collectible decanter by Jim Beam. It's for the Binion's Horseshoe Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas. It has a wonderful western style font and golden horseshoes in front and back. The back features the famous "Million Dollar Display" that was in the casino. The stopper has a tiny picture of Benny Binion. This bottle was originally sold with Beam 100 Months Old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey, (now empty). See a brief history of this casino below. Fun decor for a bar, mancave or study. See Condition for some minor issues.
- Material: Porcelain
- Dimensions: 13.5 inches Tall (including stopper), approx. 3.0 inches in Diameter
- Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition. This stopper didn't have a cork, instead it has a plastic plug that should be glued to the stopper, but it's no longer holding. The plug goes into the decanter first, then the stopper will fit nicely. You can always re-glue it if you'd like. We've photographed all pieces separately and how it should be put together. The felt bottom is coming unglued on one small section. There are no scratches or chips. It retains its original foil label in the front, the liquor strip label, plus all the gold accents are intact. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
Binion's Horseshoe Hotel Casino was founded in 1951 by Benny Binion. In June of 1964, 17 of the Horseshoe shareholders sold Jack Binion their 65% interest in the casino for $1.3 million dollars, leaving Benny as the sole shareholder. Benny passed away in 1989. This was a family run casino from its founding until 2004. The famous "Million Dollar Display" was sold in December 1999 to a private collector for a reported $13 million dollars. The display had been a downtown fixture since Joe W. Brown had put in the original in 1954. Today the casino is called "Binion's Gambling Hall & Hotel"' still on Fremont Street, now owned by TLC Casino Enterprises.
