  • Pattern: Wexford
  • Made in Indonesia
  • Vintage: 1970's - 1980's
  • Details:  This is a a condiment jar used to serve jams, jellys, mustard and even used as a sugar bowl.  It is in the very popular pattern called Wexford, made famous by Anchor Hocking in the 1960's, but this one is made by KIG.  It is really hard to tell these apart from original Wexford, these are just as pretty and will match very well with your originals. The lid is silver colored metal with a cute little rounded knob.  This didn't come with a spoon but we added a nice quality Oneida teaspoon so you're ready to use it right away.  You can always look for a real pretty jelly spoon later on.  The piece is embossed on the bottom:  "KIG Indonesia"  so there's no effort to deceive on KIG's part.  We have two in stock, they are exactly alike; we photographed them together (last 2 photos) for your review.  Would make a pretty get-well gift with an added jar of fancy fruit jam!

KIG, (Kedaung Industrial Group) was founded in 1969 by Agus Nursalim.  Originally established to bring glass and tableware to the Indonesian market, it is now an unconsolidated federation of more than 30 companies, operating mainly out of Indonesia, but also Malaysia.  Their market has expanded worldwide to 132 countries including the USA.  They are still in operation today and have licensed many of the vintage patterns like Sandwich (they call Trellis), Daisy & Cane, Oyster & Pearl and many other well loved patterns like this Wexford, plus designed many original patterns of their own.
