Condition: Antique - Used. Fair Antique Condition, considering it's 125 years old. This is an EXTREMELY RARE book. This book contains a treasury of children's stories. W. B. Conkey publishers introduced many children series books, the majority of those published in the 19th century, like this one, are oversized board books. This one has many black & white engraved illustrations and one large color illustration on the frontispiece. The front board has a charming color illustration with gilding, or what is known as "Illuminated". The cloth binding /spineback is faded and very worn. There is LOTS of wear on the covers. Pages are very yellowed/tanning and there is an odor, but there's no mold or mildew. There is writing in pencil, only on the very first page, no torn pages or corners, (except on covers, already mentioned). We never want to crease the books by fully opening them, this is why you'll notice the pictures are not always straight.
