St George Crystal Ltd was founded in 1985 in Jeannette, PA.  They manufactured pressed & blown glass products such as candle holders, vases, paperweights, ornaments, and the lines of graceful crystal glasses with elegant names like Kenilworth, Ligonier and Tosca are also made here.  You might be surprised that you own some of St. George's crystal right now, sold under private labels for: Avon, J.C. Penney, Princess House, Hallmark, Teleflora and many of the fanciest and most expensive stores carry St George's products under their own private label.  In 2000 they introduced its own brand names to market, along with the American Crystal line with an assortment of crystal barware, stemware, lighting, servingware and giftware.  Unfortunately, the company closed around 2007, we could not find much information as to why, but we do know that another glass manufacturer acquired the assets in 2008.  A couple of interesting facts about St George: 1) They made glass reproductions of the angels in the Vatican for Treasures Inc.  2)  The highball and old-fashioned glasses for the U.S. Senate dining room and the wine glasses for the dining room of the House of Representatives were all made by St George.
