  • Pattern:  Antique Ashtrays / Tea Bag Holders, Victorian Courting Couple Fragonard with Scattered Flowers, Set of 6, German Porcelain
  • Made in Germany
  • Antique: 1910's - 1920's
  • Details:  At very elegant, well appointed tables, there always was an individual ashtray at each place setting.  It was very elegant and today, very unnecessary.  Today these make lovely tea bag holders and with this beautiful pattern, they will be the envy of your next tea party.  Set of 6, made of fine German porcelain, they feature several different Victorian Couples (known as Fragonard, inspired by the works of artist Jean Honore Fragonard 1732-1806), in the center of each dish, with scattered, tiny flowers, all around.  They all have gold rims in excellent condition.  Based on the floral pattern, we strongly believe these are late 19th Century to early 20th Century, unmarked Meissen (Carl Teichert), in their Biedermeier Floral pattern.  These match that dinnerware pattern very well.   If you collect Fragonard, these are rare, hard to find pieces.  If you're looking for a gift for a tea lover, we think these make a lovely and unique gift.
