- Details: Extremely Rare Find! This vintage Sainte Claire Hotel ashtray has a triangular shape with the original, and very regal looking, logo. The hotel, built in 1926, was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005, and is one of the city's most recognized landmarks. Considered one of the grandest hotels in the state of California, many celebrities are known to have stayed there like: Gable and Lombard, DiMaggio, Roosevelt, Kennedy and Bob Hope to name a few. It's had a few restorations and name changes, in the 1990's, it was changed to the Hyatt Sainte Claire. In the 2000's, it was called Hotel Sainte Claire. Most recently it was renovated and named The Westin San Jose in 2015. This is a rare ashtray, and in wonderful condition. A great piece of hotel and tourism industry memorabilia and history, and a great collector's item.
