- Pattern: Vintage Advisement, Lifesavers Candy, Life Magazine Advertisement, Framed Collectible, Ephemera, (Discontinued)
- Made in: USA
- Vintage: 1953
- Details: Fun Summer decor! This is an old advertisement from Lifesavers candy for Pep-O-Mint flavored candy, from Life Magazine June 22, 1953. Ingenious advertisement with the Lifesavers Roll as a lifeguard, sitting in the lifeguard chair under a very bright yellow & red striped umbrella. In another "advertising twist of genius", they show the round shaped candies, with the hole in the center, hanging on the lifeguard chair like "life savers". The caption reads: "For a breath-taking rescue". On the bottom it reads: "The candy with the hole... still only 5 cents". This is an original page from the magazine, not a print or reproduction, the paper has age-toning (yellowed with time) but the colors remain bright. The frame is real wood, simulating old beach-wood, painted blue, makes a very nice combination with the blue chair and blue water. This is great as a collector's item, or hung in a coastal home, a sun room or pool house.
- Materials: Advertisement: Paper. Frame: Wood
- Dimensions: 16.5 Long, 13.5 Wide and 0.75 inch Deep (incl. frame)
- Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition. There's a stain, (perhaps from the staple that held the magazine together), on the upper left side. This is an original page from a magazine, the paper has age-toning (yellowed over time). The yellowing is a bit darker than it shows on pictures, due to lighting, the very first picture shows the actual color best. The frame is not vintage, it is in good condition, a couple of spots with minor paint loss. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
