Details: An adorable music box and yes indeed it is RARE. While we have seen possibly hundreds of these 'children-with-umbrella' figurines and music boxes, we are yet to find one with TWO puppies. These typically have the boy holding a puppy at his side, but that puppy on the bottom, he is a rare find. This is made in the traditional Hummel style and hand painted (this is not a real Hummel but 'Hummel style'), with their orange bandanas, suspenders on the boy and an apron on the girl. There is no manufacturer's mark, this one retains its original foil sticker simply reads: "Japan". If you're looking for a cute piece for a child's room or nursery, we think this would be adorable! Nice addition to your vintage music box collection.

Dimensions: 7.5 inches Tall, approx. 4.25 inches in Diameter (bottom).
Condition: Vintage - Used. The Music Box is in Good Condition. It plays a bit slow and there are a couple of notes that sound out of tune, but, it plays and the song is absolutely recognizable. Figurine is in Very Good Condition. The sitting puppy is missing paint in one eye, can be easily fixed with a permanent marker. Otherwise, there are no chips, cracks, or scratches.
