Details: This is such a pretty trinket box!! It is very old, hand painted porcelain with hand applied flowers on almost every side. This lovely box has a hand applied, large orange rose in the center lid with smaller flowers around it. Not only is the lid pretty, the entire box is embossed with swirls, outlined in gold, and the two longer sides have more hand applied flowers and leaves, just beautiful! It is stamped on the bottom: "TT Takito (logo), Hand Painted, Made in Japan". Based on research of the logo, we are able to date it to between 1922 and 1944. There is a condition issue, please see below. Lovely as decor but useful for jewelry, and on the vanity too.

Dimensions: 2.75 inches Tall (including lid), approx. 4.0 inches Long and 3.0 inches Wide.
Condition: Vintage - Used. Average Condition. There is one large chip on the side. Since it's white, it's not very noticeable but you can definitely feel it. No other issues noted, the flowers are in perfect condition. Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns. Takito Company was founded in 1880 in Nagoya, Japan. They are best known for their lusterware and moriage decorations. Very little is found about this company, Majiro Takito is listed as an exhibitor of porcelain objects at the 1893 World’s Fair in Chicago and the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis. They closed in 1948.
