Details: This is a beautifully hand carved Japanese box. The carvings depict mountains, temples, trees and bridges, lots of detail. The lid has an circular indentation and a small wooden finial in the center. Interesting to note, there are no carvings inside the box, however, there are two floral shapes carved on the underside of the lid, we believe this is artist's mark. Unfortunately there is no maker's marks to identify the manufacturer. Great for display or for storing small treasures, perfect for an oriental inspired home.
