- Details: A very sweet metal tray, perfect for the Christmas holiday! The illustration is a well known design from Ruth Morehead. Three little cherub angels, two deep in prayer but the third one is a little disheveled. Her halo is falling, her big eyes open and her toes are crossed, so adorable! Ruth Morehead based the design on a photo of herself and her twin sisters. The tray is bordered with the words: "Peace, Love and Joy to You" with little stars all over. Marked Hallmark Licensing Inc. This is not only a cute serving tray, perfect for the children's table, it would be a great addition to your Christmas decor.

- Condition: Vintage - Used. Good Vintage Condition. No dents but several areas of paint loss all around the border, minor scratches in front, the center design looks very good still. The back is very scratched, worn, all consistent with age/use/wear. If you enjoy the charm of vintage patina and wear, you'll like this one. Ruth J. Evans Morehead was was born Nov. 2, 1926, in Leavenworth, WA. She attended Cornish Art School in Seattle where she honed her craft. She married William DeWitt Morehead in 1946. While working at a major greeting card company, she worked her way up from glitter application to art director. In 1975 she left to start her own company, Morehead Inc. She worked on illustrations, greeting cards, calendars and other gifts and licensed her art for international marketers. Her line of over 3,000 characters had international appeal, customers world wide could not resist her adorable designs. Ruth Morehead died Sunday, Nov. 14, 2004 at home, she was 78. Her work continues to be highly desirable and collectible. This "Three Little Angels" design debuted in 1977, originally as a Christmas card, becoming Hallmark's best-selling Christmas card. In its first 20 years, it was sent over 36 million times. In 2019, Hallmark updated the design to feature three African American angels.
