- Pattern: Vintage Colander / Strainer, Hand Painted Ceramic, Vegetables, Vintage Kitchen, Cooking Tools, Kitchen Decor, (Discontinued)
- Vintage: circa 1980's - 1990's (estimated)
- Details: What a beautiful piece of ceramic!! In our book this is more "kitchen decor" than "kitchen work-horse", but whatever you decide it is, you won't be disappointed, it is beautiful! It is a strainer / colander, with bright and colorful vegetables painted all around the piece. There are carrots, tomatoes, beets, peas and a green pepper, all hand painted. The inside is painted a solid terracotta-rust color with built in handles in dark green. Looks a lot like the Italian ceramic pieces but we were unable to confirm. Those ABC Bassano Italy pieces only carry a foil sticker and once that's removed, it's almost impossible to identify unless you find one with the sticker, but could be by any other ceramic house, we just don't know. This one is pre-drilled with five holes for draining your fruits and vegetables. Would look great hanging on a wall in a kitchen or dining room. It is in great condition so it's perfect for gift giving.
