  • Pattern:  Vintage Pitcher, Silverplate, Lion Claw Feet, Leonard Silver No. 533, Footed, Ornate, Elegant Pitcher, Water Pitcher, Ice Lip in Original Box, (Discontinued)
  • Made in: Italy
  • Vintage: 1970's - 1980's (estimated)
  • Details:  This is a beautiful silver plated pitcher by Leonard Silver Manufacturing Company.  The style is very elegant with a finely scrolled handle, lion claw feet and pretty shell designs.  It is engraved on the bottom: "Leonard Silverplate".  It retains its original packaging and box, plus a silver paper strip to keep it from tarnishing.  We're thinking that silver paper is pretty old because there is some tarnish starting to form.  This pitcher will enhance any table setting or home bar.
  • Materials:  Silver Plate
  • Dimensions:  Pitcher:  8.25 inches Tall, 8 inches Wide (from handle to spout), approx. 5.0 inches in Diameter.  Holds 2 qts.  Box: 9.0 inches Tall, 7.75 inches Wide and 5.5 inches Deep.
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Very Good Condition.  This pitcher has not been cleaned, will need it.  As with all used silver and silverplate, there are surface scratches as consistent with age/use/wear.  There is nothing wrong with the center of this pitcher, it was an attempt to cover our reflection when photographing the piece.  Silver is very hard to photograph, we've done our best but are happy to send additional pictures for your review.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.

Leonard Silver Manufacturing Company was founded by Leonard Florence in Chelsea, Massachusetts.  Leonard learned to work with silver while employed at Raimond Silver Manufacturing Co.  In 1968 Raimond Silver was sold and Leonard acquired some of the sales profits.  He then opened his own company, Leonard Silver, in 1969.   He operated a very successful business specializing in low cost silver plated items.  To keep his costs low, many of their items were manufactured in Spain, Italy and India.  They were eventually bought out by Towle Silversmiths in 1979.
