- Made in China
- Vintage: 1990's
- Details: These mugs are highly collectible! They are Morton Salt mugs and some of the most recognized girls in the advertising business, the Morton Salt Girls! The pictures walk you through the changes in the advertising industry, from the original picture used in 1914, an updated one from 1921 and then a real cool looking girl from 1968. All carrying their umbrellas, all under heavy rain and all spilling salt because you know the tagline... "Morton, when it rains, it pours". The same design is on both sides of the mug. They are all stamped on the bottom: "Bryan China, New Castle, PA, Made in China". Please be careful, these mugs were made by several different manufacturers and they are all slightly different in color, size and shape, the ones marked Bryan China will match these. Great gift for an advertisement collector. Perfect touch of vintage in your kitchen or cupboard.

Bryan China Company was founded in New Castle, PA in 1980. Originally they were a contract decorator to the limited-edition collector plate market. They expanded over the years with more production and larger markets. They have a wide range of hand decorated items in porcelain, glass and ceramics like: Air force II dinnerware, products for Avon, headlamps for GM, and lots of Disney collectibles, mostly white labeled so you're not aware it's their product. However, they also have their own branded line, like these mugs.
