- Details: This is a gorgeous Beer Stein with Pewter lid. It is based on two of Linda Picken's paintings, "Winter Music" is on one side shows a Black Lab in the snow with Canadian Geese flying overhead. The other side shows a "Black Lab" portrait, gorgeous dog laying in the dry cattails with mallards flying overhead. The dog scenes are bordered by an oak leaves and acorns design, pine needles and pine cones. The lid is made of pewter and has a wonderful acorn and pine cone design, the mechanism for lifting is an acorn leaf. The acorn leaf motif cascades down the handle. This mug is a great addition to an existing collection, or the perfect father's day gift or a gift for a Labrador Retriever lover/owner. Great addition for a bar or man cave decor.

Linda Picken was born in 1944 and is an active artist living the American Ozarks. She loves animals and wildlife and it shows in her art work. Linda studied at the Des Moines Art Center, majored in art at Drake University, and developed her own style of wildlife and animal portraiture. She is an award-winning artist whose works have gained national recognition numerous times via various trade publications, awards, and her association with national organizations. She was named an Honorary Trustee of Ducks Unlimited and recipient of its first Silver Palette and Chisel award. Dozens of her paintings have been selected to help raise funds for conservation. Her work is also seen in a collection of plate series, greeting cards and numerous other gift items, including Christmas stockings, tapestry pillows and afghans.
