  • Pattern:  Vintage Brass Scottish Ceremonial Bowl / Living Cup / Quaich
  • Vintage: 1970's (estimated)
  • Details:  This vintage Scottish Quaich is a magnificent drinking ceremonial bowl, also known as LovingCups, crafted from solid brass. Its design has remained unchanged for centuries, making it a timeless drinking vessel for both ceremonial (used in weddings), for personal use (as a shared drinking vessel), and in decor.  Originated in Scotland, from the Gaelic “Cauch", today it is very popular to incorporate them in wedding ceremonies.  Each couple holds one handle and drinks (not necessarily Scotch), as a sign of their union.  This vessel is solid brass, it is heavy, please keep that in mind at check-out.  Embossed on the bottom: "Korea".  We also carry a larger Quaich, which holds 20oz (this one holds 12 oz).  Also beautiful as a trinket dish for decor.
  • Materials: Brass
  • Dimensions:  10.0 inches Long, 5.75 inches in Diameter.  Holds 12 oz.
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used. Excellent Condition.  There are no chips, dents or scratches except for normal wear/use. However, if you like very shiny brass, it will need cleaning.  If you like the patina of older pieces as we do, you will enjoy it as is.  Please review all pictures and make sure you love this item before purchasing, we can't accept returns.  Please remember these are ANTIQUE and VINTAGE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
