• Details:  This is a very distinctive glass basket with a wonderful pattern of grapes and grape leaves, some frosted, some clear but all absolutely perfect!  It is fine Italian glass from Vetreria Etrusca, and no longer available.  The size is large, perfect as a fruit basket, as a serving bowl, filled with collectibles, in the bathroom with hand towels, so many uses, and of course, looks stunning on its own without any embellishment.  Great piece of decor no matter where you decide to use it!  This is a heavy glass piece, weighs 2 lbs before packaging, please keep that in mind at check-out.

Vetreria Etrusca was started in 1920 in Italy, originally making jars and bottles for the wine and olive oil producers.  Starting in the 1960's they expanded further to include containers that once used for their specific purpose, could then continue to be used as decor, candle holders, or other houseware items.  We believe that this basket may have been sold to the floral industry, for flower arrangements.  This company is still in business, still innovating beautiful and useful glass containers in new and creative ways, however, this basket is no longer being made.
