• Details:  This is an original set of New Old Stock coasters for Coors Dry Beer.  It features the Coors logo and in large type print the word: "DRY".  They were issued to commemorate the release of the Coors Dry brand in 1989,  It is a double sided coaster (same picture on both sides).  They are made of heavy card stock and extremely absorbent.  These coasters came from the basement of an old tavern and are in great unused condition. There's a lot of great history behind Coors, see below.  Great for man cave or bar decor.  A great addition for any beer paraphernalia collector, your favorite tegestologist, Coors drinker, or overall beer aficionado.

Coors Dry is brewed by Coors Brewing Company as a Lager - American Light style beer, but has limited availability.  It was launched in 1989, and was awarded the North American Specialty Lager gold medal by the 2002 World Beer Cup.The company was founded in 1873 by German immigrants' Adolph Coors and Jacob Schueler who came from Prussia to the United States.  They founded the brewery in Golden, Colorado, after buying a recipe for a Pilsner-style beer from a Czech immigrant William Silhan.  In 1880, Coors bought out his partner and became sole owner of the brewery.  To survive the prohibition era, Coors converted the brewery into a malted milk and a "near beer" called Manna production facility.  Also, years before, Adolph Coors had established the Adolph Coors Brewing and Manufacturing Company, which included Herold Porcelain and other materials like cement and real estate.  Because of this they were able to make money and to keep the Coors Brewing Company opened.  Much after prohibition ended, between 1989 and 1992 all of these non-brewery assets were spun off.  Coors had a mystic about it because it was only available in the West so people in the East Coast would ask their friends who visited to bring them Coors.  On July 22, 2004, the company announced a merger with Canadian brewer Molson. The merger was completed February 9, 2005, and the new company was named Molson Coors Brewing Company.  Coors is responsible for over twenty different brands of beer in North America.  Some of the best known brands are:  Coors, Killian's, Caffrey's, and Blue Moon.
