- Details: This is a gorgeous pair of alabaster stone eggs, Mid Twentieth Century. These natural stone eggs were hand carved by artisans in Italy from a single piece of stone. We've read these turquoise stones have lots of Apatite. According to those in mineralogy, apatite is a group of phosphate minerals, including hydroxylapatite, fluorapatite and chlorapatite. These vary according to the concentration of hydroxide, fluorine or chlorine ions in the crystal. It can be colorless, white, yellow, bluish, reddish, brown or purple. We call them simply beautiful!
