Details: This is a beautiful vintage saucer in a much loved pattern design known as Fragonard, and inspired by the works of artist Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806). All Fragonard style pieces have the Victorian Courting couple illustration, and typically some gilding. This one has the lady in a blue dress holding a hand fan and the gentleman in an orange and gold suit. The entire border is covered in the most elegant, 22kt gold, floral filigree, just lovely! There's a condition issue, please see below for details. There is no backstamp so we're unable to tell you more beyond the description. This is the Saucer ONLY. If you collect Fragonard, we hope this is a happy find. Otherwise if you're looking for pretty plates to mix and match, or to decorate your walls, this is a very pretty option.

Surprisingly, there is no crazing on this saucer, however, there is a chip on the back, at the edge, photographed for you and there's light wear on the gold.
