- Details: This is a pretty scarce label these days. It is a large can label from Daisee brand apples. It has a very colorful stone litho image of a little farm girl standing in a field of white daisies with a great big hat on. In the center are two large red juicy apples surrounded by more white daisies. It is a very colorful label, a bit rare as back then it was expensive to use several colors on a stone lithograph image like this. The label reads in part: "Daisee Apples, Packed for The Herrman Company, Paterson, N.J.". These labels came from the estate of Zane Shaffer, one of the largest long time dealers on the east coast. Beautiful label, definitely suitable for framing, and recommended to maintain this condition. Collecting labels has become a very popular hobby, mainly because of the beautiful and unique images/artwork that can be found.
