Details: This is beautifully made duck decoy. While these are decorative items, and not intended for actual duck hunting, it's fun to try and figure out the type of duck this represents. This one looks like a male 'Greater Scaup', those ducks have dark green heads, blue bills, checkered back, and white sides, which this duck seems to imitate rather beautifully. The details on this piece are excellent, the colors, the markings, everything on it shows attention to detail. This one has the original sticker that reads: "Made in People's Republic of China", but we know these came from Taiwan, the Chinese used this mark until the late 1970’s. This duck will make a wonderful addition to a library, study, a lake house or cabin. Great gift for a duck hunter.
