  • Pattern:  Capodimonte Floral Basket, Pink & Yellow Roses, Vintage
  • Made in Italy
  • Vintage: 1960's (estimated)
  • Details:  Gorgeous basket in the Capodimonte style, with the traditional beautiful large roses in pink and yellow with dark green leaves.  Many potters produced works in the style of Capodimonte in the 1950's and 1960's, but it's nearly impossible to really date these pieces.  Regardless, they are beautiful and a lot of work and detail go into making these pieces of earthenware.  This is legitimate Italian pottery, stamped on the bottom with the N and Crown logo plus the Capodimonte name and "Made in Italy".  Also, part of the bottom is unglazed, a key sign in true Italian pottery.  This piece is heavy for its size, please keep that in mind at check-out.  We have two identical pieces, but as with all hand made pottery, there will be variations in tonality, imperfections and color placement.  A perfect addition for any Capodimonte lover, a beautiful gift for mother's day and makes a great home decor piece.
  • Material: Earthenware
  • Dimensions:  Approx. 6.5 inches Tall, approx. 6.0 inches Long and 4.0 inches Wide (t its widest point)
  • Condition:  Vintage - Used.  Excellent Condition.  There are no cracks, chips or scratches.  We have two identical pieces, we cannot guarantee you will receive the exact one pictured.  As with all hand made and hand painted items, there are variations in color placement and imperfections.  Please ask for additional pictures if you have any concerns.  Please review all pictures before purchasing and make sure you love this item, we cannot accept returns. Please remember these are VINTAGE and ANTIQUE items, they are NOT new, every effort has been made to show any scratches, wear and tear and imperfections.
Capodimonte was the most famous porcelain manufacturer in Italy, founded in 1736.  After the Royal Factory closure in 1834, many of the “King’s” artists and modelers split off to open their own studios. By 1925 there were many Italian porcelain factories making Capodimonte-style porcelains, and using the famous “N” and crown.  The Neapolitan “N” and crown were never trademark protected.  Today Capodimonte is produced in the Neapolitan region of Italy, (and Spain, for a while), it is not associated with a single factory or maker.  Several ceramic factories work in the Capodimonte style.
