Details: This is a very old, footed vegetable serving bowl with lid in an oval shape with very pretty handles. It is from Crooksville China Company with a very traditional pattern of flowers and scrolls on a blue band on black trellis background. We were unable to find the pattern name, especially the earlier ones, didn't have names. The color of this china is not white, it has a subtle cream tone to it and its accented with platinum on handles and lid finial. The back-stamp reads: Crooksville China Co, 1134 American Made. What's even more valuable about this vegetable bowl is the fact that it was a Promotional Product! Given out with "Compliments of P. G. Edmundson & Son of Pulaski, Tenn". Perfect for a Crooksville collector, a Promotional / Advertising Products collector or for your own kitchen display.

Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition considering its age. There is a minor chip on the lip rim, photographed for you. It does not take away from the overall beauty of the piece. Compared to many other USA china companies, Crooksville has a short history. Crooksville China Co. was founded in Crooksville, OH, in 1902. They manufactured semi-porcelain dinnerware & kitchenware. The company began having financial difficulties in the late 1950's, due to competition from lower priced Japanese imports and plastic dinnerware manufacturers. They went out of business in 1959.
