Details: This is a beautiful vintage Bread and Butter plate, and one of Sebring's most desired patterns, Chantilly. The center has a Victorian Courting couple illustration, known as Fragonard, and inspired by the works of artist Jean Honore Fragonard (1732-1806). The Chantilly pattern has two different couples, this plate has the lady in a blue dress holding a hand fan and the gentleman in an orange and gold suit. The dinner plate for this set has the lady in a yellow dress (sold out). The entire border is covered in the most elegant, 22kt gold, floral filigree, just lovely! The backstamp is shaped like the state of Ohio and reads: "The Sebring Pottery Company USA, C-49, Chantilly IT-S284, Warranted, 22K Gold". If this is your pattern, we hope this is a happy find. Condition: Vintage - Used. Very Good Vintage Condition. We have two plates available, (sold separately), one has a chip on the rim, (photographed for you), the other does not. We will sell the better one first. There is crazing on both plates. The gold is in pristine condition, amazing after all these years!
