Details: This is such a bright decorative plate, it makes you happy just looking at it! Beautiful detail throughout the entire piece. Its the much loved Millefleur pattern which translates to Million Flowers. There are peonies, cherry blossoms, lotus, poppies, chrysanthemums, what else do you see? The plate is bordered with the Greek Key (or Meandering shape, which in the Orient, symbolizes nature, like a meandering river), in varying colors of yellow, green, purple and blue. There are gold accents here and there throughout the plate and it is rimmed in gold. The back is stamped: "Decoration Only", meaning NOT FOR FOOD USE. The back also shows the Chinese chop mark for Zhongguo Zhi Zao. Overall a beautiful plate with vibrant colors, really a gorgeous decoration, not pre-drilled, use plate stand or plate hanger to display. Makes a gorgeous gift.
